Seminole County Airboat Club Members Seminole County Airboat Club " Adopt-A-River Program" SCAC has adopted-a-river, the St. John's River from Lake Harney to Hatbill park. Together we can help reduce pollution where we ride. Any time your out riding and see trash pick it up!!!
What You Can Do!
Ten things you can do to help local rivers or streams: 1. become a watershed action volunteer (WAV) 2. get to know your local rivers 3. become a water quality monitor 4. coordinate a clean-up in your area 5. learn more about water resources 6. protect riverside greenways 7. maintain your septic system 8. place storm drain markers in your neighborhood 9. conserve water at home 10. reduce the use of pesticides and fertilizers in your landscape
Many of Central Florida's waterways have become polluted with trash and debris. This, along with storm water runoff, has created a negative impact on our water resources. Removal of trash is one of many ways to help reduce pollution. We can also help conserve urban wildlife habitats with the removal of nuisance plants. This, along with education, will help maintain the balance of our natural areas.
Personal Injury Insurance Did you know that most insurance coverage does not cover an helicopter ride to the hospital. The average helicopter ride can cost $4,000 - $15,000.
